About Me

My photo
Ben West
I am currently a Master of Liberal Arts student at Temple University (Philadelphia, PA). My research interests include Media Studies (specifically "makeover" television) and Visual Anthropology (specifically photographic analysis). I am now working on my thesis, which focuses specifically on punk rock culture in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania region and some of the iconic photographers that have documented it over the past 35 years. Additionally, I am interested in how punk rock identity is manifest in photographic imagery and how iconic photography and images shape the culture.
